Juventus beat Napoli 1-0 to go top of Serie A

Juventus' goal from Federico Gatti was sufficient to secure the Turin giants all three points against Napoli, moving them up to the top of Serie A and raising serious doubts about their title chances. Napoli had a stronger start to the game and spent most of the first half encamped in Juventus' half, but they could not mount a serious threat. Juventus came back strong, giving Dusan Vlahovic a great opportunity. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia almost punished Vlahovic's miss a few seconds later when he sprinted onto Victor Osimhen's pass but missed the mark.

In a frantic first half, they were Juventus' finest opportunities, but it seemed as though they were glad when the referee blew for halftime. Whatever Max Allegri told his team at halftime had an effect because Juventus came out into the game determined to win and quickly took the lead.
