Despite weeks of speculation surrounding Luis Enrique's potential departure from Paris Saint-Germain, it appears the narrative has shifted entirely. 'Le Parisien' reports that the Asturian coach and the French capital club are now actively negotiating a contract extension.
The former Spain manager previously dismissed such reports, which circulated more on social media than in traditional news outlets, as baseless. "There is a lot of false news, 'fake news'. The aim is to try and destabilise the players and the team, but none of that will happen," he asserted at a press conference days earlier.
Now, the Parisian newspaper reveals that all parties involved have initiated talks for Luis Enrique to extend his commitment to PSG, a deal currently set to expire on 30 June 2027. With eighteen months remaining on his current terms, it marks an opportune moment to commence negotiations.
