Luton concedes five in the relegation battle

Luton's biggest home league defeat of the season puts the Hatters one point below Nottingham Forest, who face Everton on Sunday in a crucial encounter at the foot of the table. Brentford virtually clinched their top-flight position with a strong performance, despite missing England striker Ivan Toney due to injury. Before halftime, Yoane Wissa scored twice, and the Bees also had goals from Ethan Pinnock, Keane Lewis-Potter, and Kevin Schade.

Brentford's last goal came in the 85th minute, due to some superb work by Bryan Mbeumo, who ran past his man before passing to Vitaly Janelt, who brought the ball back to Kevin Schade for an easy finish. Luton did manage to grab one back in the 92nd minute through Luke Berry, who pounced onto Janelt's errant ball before beating the keeper and finishing into an open goal.
