Newcastle United might have a busy transfer window in January

Newcastle United ended their summer transfer window in a low-key manner earlier this month. The excruciatingly drawn-out pursuit of England star Marc Guehi was ultimately unsuccessful after Crystal Palace turned down multiple bids for the center defender, while a late effort to sign Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga prompted a similar reaction. Regarding departures, bids were not made for players like Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson, or Kieran Trippier; as a result,

Eddie Howe's team still includes all three of them. Although United has often stated that it is tough to conduct business during the January transfer window, it is probable that the Magpies will need to be active in the new year and they are facing some significant calls over their roster. The Magpies will have to make some decisions in the upcoming year.
