Patrick Dorgu has distanced himself from transfer speculation

The left-back has become one of Serie A's most sought-after young players after helping Lecce win the Primavera, the Italian U19 division, last season. The 19-year-old Dorgu has apparently drawn interest from AC Milan and Barcelona, among other teams, and Liverpool has reportedly sent scouts to observe the player many times this season.

However, Dorgu is bound by an Italian contract that runs until 2027, so Lecce will likely have to offer a high price for the teenager as they get ready for a possible summer transfer market bidding battle. Dorgu wants to keep his head down and concentrate on the work at hand at Lecce, who are now ranked 13th in Serie A, despite the constant speculations circulating about his future. The teenage full-back did, however, acknowledge in an extensive interview with Danish newspaper Tipsbladet that it was gratifying to be associated with some of the top teams in European football.
