Real Betis stays in the chase for a European berth in the Spanish league with another win added to their tally. Almeria had a hard time containing Betis’ Sergio Canales who notched a superb goal while also grabbing an assist to lead Real Betis to a 3-2 win.
In the 42nd minute, the midfielder handed Betis a lead after Luis Suárez canceled Rodri Sánchez’s early goal. Almeria rallied later to even the score with Samu Costa hitting the net in the 62nd minute. But Canales’ clever cross to Andrés Guardado set up Real Betis for a win as they now move fifth in the Spanish league one point away from fourth-placed Atletico Madrid. The success offers some relief to the side that has been struggling in previous games after an excellent start to the season.
