Renard summons Al-Salouli instead of the injured Al-Omari

French Hervé Renard, coach of the Saudi national team, excluded AbdeIlah Al-Omari, Al-Ittihad club defender, from national team list to play the matches between Australia and Indonesia, in the decisive round qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, due to injury.

It is noteworthy that Al-Omari suffered a muscle injury against Al-Orouba with his team Al-Ittihad, in the tenth round of the league championship, which the team won 2-0.

Renard called up defender Aoun Al-Salouli to the Saudi national team’s roster in order to play the matches against Australia and Indonesia in place of the injured AbdeIlah Al-Omari.

The Saudi national team occupies third place with 5 points in the standings of the third group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, on goal difference from the runner-up, the Australian team.
