Survival Sunday: Ashanti Gold Overpower Aduana to finish 10th on League Log

Starting the game on 38 points and needing all three points to displace any thoughts of relegation from the minds of their fans, Ashanti Gold fired from all cylinders scoring the first and second of their four goals in the first half through Hans Kwofie.

Back from recess, Hans Kwofie did not waste time to record his hat-trick as in the 48th minute he scored his third to send the fans into a state of ecstasy.

In the 59th minute, Derrick Sassraku pulled one goal back for the visiting league champions but four minutes later Hans Kwofie, with the goal king crown I sight was on hand to score his and his team’s 4th goal of the game putting him on 17 goals, two more than closest rival Stephen Sarfo.

Aaron Amoah took over the footballing duties later in the game from the prolific Hans Kwofie as the game came close to the end.

The final whistle however had to wait for Elvis Opoku of Aduana Stars who pulled another goal back for the champions to end the game 4-2 in favour of Ashanti Gold.

By dint of their win Ashgold end the 2017-18 league season on 41 points  sitting in 10th position on the league table.
