Swiss Club St. Gallen signs Majeed Ashimeru on loan

Swiss Super League side St. Gallen have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru.

The 21-year-old joins St. Gallen on loan from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

Having spent time on loan at Wolfsberger in the Austrian lower division, the midfielder has crossed carpet in his bid to enjoy more playing time.

Ashimeru moved to ply his trade in Europe after a successful time with Ghana Premier League side WAFA.

The player was a key member when the Sogakope lads managed a second placed finished at the end of the 2016/17 season.

He also earned himself a spot in the Black Stars B squad during the CHAN qualifiers but eventually missed out after moving to Europe.

A strong performance at St. Gallen could force Red Bull Salzburg to recall him from his loan spell at St Gallen.
