The American sensation Christian Pulisic, scored twice as AC Milan defeated Cagliari 5-1 in Serie A. Ahead of Sunday's meeting between the Bianconeri and already-relegated Salernitana, Milan, in second place, is still seven points ahead of Bologna, who climbed up to third place after winning 2-0 at Napoli. Cagliari continued to be three points above the danger area.
In an attempt to end a run of six games without a victory, Milan broke the tie in ten minutes when the ball bounced around the field to an unmarked Ismael Bennacer, who gave his team the lead with a volley. Before setting up Pulisic to extend Milan's advantage in the 59th minute, Leao struck the crossbar in the second half. Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez drew one back after four minutes, but Tijjani Reijnders' 30-yard blast from 30 yards out gave Milan their two-goal lead back in the 74th.
