Como head coach Cesc Fàbregas has firmly dismissed speculation regarding star midfielder Nico Paz returning to parent club Real Madrid this January. Despite rumors from Argentina suggesting an imminent winter move, Fàbregas clarified the standing contractual terms.
The agreement strictly prohibits activating the buy-back clause mid-season. Instead, Real Madrid retains a valid three-year option to repurchase Paz for fees rising from €9 million to €11 million, plus a 50% sell-on fee. Fàbregas remains hopeful about keeping the talent beyond this season, noting his visible happiness.
Speaking to the media, the manager highlighted their mutual benefit, stating that while Paz helps Como grow, the club offers the ideal environment for his development. He insisted Paz can achieve his ambitious career goals in Italy. Consequently, the playmaker will definitely finish the current campaign at Como, and Fàbregas believes that looking at the player's eyes reveals he truly wishes to stay there longer.
