The 31-year-old, Andre Gomes will join with the Ligue 1 team, Lille if his tests are successful. Just over two months after leaving Goodison Park, the former Portugal international was free to sign with anybody he wants and has chosen to rejoin the team he played for the 2022–2023 season.
Nothing went especially well for the midfield player at Goodison; his tough times were exacerbated by persistent injury concerns, which frequently kept him out of the game for months at a time. Because of his constant injury issues, the former Barcelona player ended up being forgotten by the Toffees during his tenure. As a result, he only made 85 appearances for the team between 2018 and 2024 following his permanent transfer from Camp Nou. Sean Dyche later decided not to extend his contract and after a successful loan stint in Ligue 1 more than a year ago, a return to Lille on a free transfer seems to make sense for all sides.
