Eleven months after a volatile outburst against the club he has represented for over a decade, Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric feels at home again at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Although used as a substitute recently, Kramaric started at center forward on Saturday to mark his landmark 300th Bundesliga appearance.
He was elated following a dominant 4-1 victory over Hamburger SV, a win that temporarily propelled Hoffenheim into the top four. Although Bayer Leverkusen later reclaimed fourth place on goal difference, Kramaric's side remains on track for their preseason Champions League target.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Kramaric praised the performance: “It was a special game and I enjoyed the team’s top class football. I’ve always said that, if everyone remains healthy, we can achieve something quite special.” He explicitly confirmed that this “special” ambition is indeed qualifying for the prestigious Champions League.
