Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, currently on loan at sister club Strasbourg, is eager to form a "great duo of Brazilians" alongside teenage sensation Estevao Willian. The 20-year-old joined Chelsea in January 2023 with high expectations before returning to Vasco da Gama on loan. His anticipated breakthrough at Stamford Bridge was delayed, as he was sent to Nottingham Forest, where he made just two appearances in five months. A move to Strasbourg in February 2024 has proven more successful, with Santos establishing himself in midfield, scoring nine goals in 26 games.
Chelsea still have high hopes for Santos, viewing him as a key part of their youth-driven future. Alongside talents like Geovany Quenda and Dario Essuga, who arrive from Sporting CP this summer, Estevao Willian has drawn the most excitement as an attacking midfield prospect.
