Arne Slot muses about the loss as Arsenal tries to capitalize

After the Premier League leaders' undefeated start to the season ended with a 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace, Arne Slot thinks Liverpool was the mastermind behind their own demise. After Manchester United lost 3-1 against Brentford, Ruben Amorim's future is once again in doubt. Meanwhile, Manchester City defeated Burnley 5-1 thanks to two own goals from Maxime Esteve and a brace from Erling Haaland. Eddie Nketiah won it for Palace at the conclusion of seven minutes of stoppage time, giving the Reds, who have a tendency to score late wins this season, a taste of their own medicine.

If Arsenal defeats Newcastle, who begin play at 4.30 p.m. at St. James' Park, they may move up to second place, two points behind Liverpool. At 2 p.m., Aston Villa will host Fulham in an attempt to win the league for the first time this season.
