Arsenal and Liverpool eye Ajax's rising star Jorrel Hato

At just 19 years old, the Ajax defender has demonstrated a remarkable level of maturity and positional awareness that perfectly complements the dynamic style of Francesco Farioli's Ajax squad. His ability to perform both as a left-back and in central defense showcases a versatility that is sure to catch the eye of managers like Mikel Arteta.

Hato, who recently began to gain prominence within the Holland national team, has been on Arsenal 's radar since late 2023, but a transfer has yet to solidify. This may be due to the strong competition for positions at the heart of Arsenal’s defense. With William Saliba firmly establishing himself and Gabriel Magalhaes working towards recovery from hamstring surgery, Jakub Kiwior's impressive contributions have added an exciting element to the team, although questions regarding his long-term role remain.

Arsenal's interest in Hato is shared by rivals Liverpool.
