Arsenal are ready to sell Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are reportedly ready to sanction Gabriel Jesus’ departure if the right offer arrives, with interest already emerging from Brazil — including from his former club Palmeiras. The Brazilian forward has been sidelined since January with an ACL injury and has struggled with recurring knee issues since joining Arsenal for £45 million in 2022.

The Gunners have already lined up his long-term replacement by signing Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP, giving Mikel Arteta a more traditional No.9 and increasing competition up front. With Gyökeres and Kai Havertz expected to share the centre-forward duties at the start of the season, Jesus is likely to drop to third in the pecking order once he returns to full fitness. Arsenal are still exploring further additions in attack and could decide to cash in on Jesus despite the difficulty of negotiating a sale while he is recovering from a serious knee injury.
