Arsenal was forced to bring down their asking cost for goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Gunners chief Edu was at first searching for £10 million for the German however talks are currently being held with Fulham over an £8m move.
Leno fell behind Aaron Ramsdale in the dominance hierarchy at Arsenal last season. He began the last season at par with Ramsdale yet lost his place to Ramsdale after three progressive losses for Mikel Arteta's side. Leno on the other hand is looking for a more regular time despite last season's blunder and wants to prove himself in order to earn a spot in the German crew in front of the World Cup in Qatar. Fulham has been connected with the player for quite some time, since the west London club was not ready to match the request of £10m for the player. Arsenal has now marked down the cost by £2m to secure a place for him before the transfer window ends.
