Arsenal gunning for La Liga duo

Premier League giants Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing La Liga midfielders Williot Swedberg (Celta Vigo) and Alberto Moleiro (Las Palmas), sparking a potential transfer battle ahead of the January window. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is under pressure, with his side trailing Liverpool by nine points. Persistent injuries and suspensions, including Martin Ødegaard’s absence, have left the Gunners lacking creativity in midfield. Additionally, Arteta faces challenges on the left flank, as Raheem Sterling has struggled and Leandro Trossard is out of form. Swedberg and Moleiro are reportedly on Arteta’s radar to address these issues.

Manchester City are also interested in Moleiro, seeing him as a midfield reinforcement. However, signing either player in January could be challenging, as Las Palmas and Celta Vigo are reluctant to part with their stars mid-season.
