Arsenal have agreed to acquire Bournemouth goalie Neto

Arsenal will sign Neto on a season-long loan from Bournemouth, following two unsuccessful offers for Espanyol's Joan García. The Brazilian goalkeeper is scheduled to have a physical on Friday after the loan arrangement was made with Bournemouth which includes no option or obligation to buy. He will offer support to David Raya, as Aaron Ramsdale is slated to join Southampton. Neto has started all three Bournemouth games this season, but he is being allowed to depart as Kepa Arrizabalaga has joined the side on loan from Chelsea.

Arsenal wanted to replace Ramsdale initially with García, a member of Spain's Olympic gold medal-winning side. However, Espanyol is reported to be requesting that the 23-year-old's €30 million (£25 million) release clause be met which Arsenal is unwilling to pay, now Neto would take over for Ramsdale.
