In order to fill the void left by the upcoming departures of Mario Hermoso and Stefan Savic, Atletico Madrid will be active in the transfer market this summer. Their main goal is to add at least two defenders. Robin Le Normand of Real Sociedad is their main objective, and things are moving in the correct direction as of now with the agreement.
Recently the two clubs have been involved in negotiations and the personal terms between the two have already been decided upon with Le Normand. The two teams' negotiations are moving into a more advanced stage. If a contract can be reached with La Real, Le Normand would be Atleti's first summer acquisition at center back. However, a deal might not be finalized until after Euro 2024, when the 27-year-old plays for Spain in Germany.
