Atletico Madrid's Nikola Kalinic set for Fenerbahçe

Marca cited a report from Turkish newspaper Fanatik that the Istanbul giants are weighing up a move for the Croatian striker, who has not been involved in regular first-team football this season.

Kalinic only joined Atleti from Milan in a €15m deal this summer but has started just seven La Liga games, netting twice.

It has been a second season of frustration for the 31-year-old after an underwhelming stint at the Rossoneri, who signed him for €29m in 2017 from Fiorentina.

Kalinic scored 27 times across two seasons with La Viola but his career has stagnated since with a lack of regular first-team football.

He was even linked with moves away this January with Monaco, Real Betis and Sevilla among the clubs linked to his signature, but a transfer never materialised.

Kalinic, was also sent home from Croatia’s World Cup last squad after refusing to appear as a substitute.
