Barcelona are already planning for life after Robert Lewandowski

Barcelona are already planning for life after Robert Lewandowski, with Harry Kane emerging as a major target for next summer. According to multiple reports, Director of Football Deco is prioritising a new number nine, and Kane fits the bill. The England captain, now 32, is the same age Lewandowski was when Barça paid €50m to sign him, and he has a release clause set at €65m that becomes active next summer.

However, Kane must notify Bayern Munich of his intention to leave by January, meaning Barcelona need to act quickly if they want him. Kane, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur for €95m in 2023, is under contract until 2027. While he has been linked with a sensational return to Spurs, his future remains open, and Barcelona view him as a proven, world-class option to lead their attack.
