Barcelona confirms Gavi 'cleared to recover at home'

FC Barcelona issued a medical report on the condition of Gavi, who was involved in a head-on collision with Alaves player Tomas Conechny.

The 'Cule' team informed that the midfielder was cleared after suffering “a cranioencephalic traumatism without loss of consciousness”.

The tests carried out on the player at the Hospital de Barcelona have been normal, and the player is now at home. “From now on, he will continue to be monitored”, concludes the medical report.

The midfielder from Seville left the pitch under his own steam and even asked the coach, Hansi Flick, to continue playing before being replaced by Fermin Lopez.

The worst part was borne by a visibly dazed Conechny, who left on a stretcher and with a neck brace.
