Barcelona has the chance to lead the table

If Barcelona defeats Real Sociedad on Sunday afternoon at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, they will take the lead in La Liga. The reigning champions, who will be keen to seize the opportunity with both hands, have an advantage thanks to Real Madrid's first loss of the season 24 hours ago.

Injury news has dominated the build-up to this one. Due to injuries sustained by Joan Garcia and Raphinha during Barcelona's victory against Real Oviedo in the middle of the week, the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will return to the starting lineup. Flick will make four more changes to the lineup: Eric Garcia, Marc Casado, Ferran Torres, and the already mentioned Raphinha will be replaced by Jules Kounde, Frenkie de Jong, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski. It is thought that head coach Sergio Francisco will start La Real with the same lineup that defeated Mallorca in Donostia-San Sebastian.
