Barcelona is reportedly interested in Lazar Samardzic, according to a report by the Spanish publication SPORT. The defending La Liga champions are looking to add a midfield player before the summer transfer window opens. And as a result, the 22-year-old Udinese midfielder—whose €35 million release clause—has become a realistic target. Over the past two seasons, Lazar Samardzic has shown to be one of Serie A's top young midfield players. The young player, who is from Berlin, attended four German teams throughout his early years before graduating from Hertha BSC's junior level. After a brief stint with RB Leipzig, he signed for Udinese in August 2021.
He has advanced rapidly since then, turning into a Serie A club fixture in the center of the park. The 22-year-old has contributed three goals and two assists in 25 league games thus far in his strong 2023–24 campaign.
