Attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez is set to be sidelined for two weeks with an injury to the soleus muscle in his left leg, as the club announced.
The issue is not thought to be serious, with FC Barcelona describing it as "a minor injury" in their official statement.
Fermin joins Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Gavi on the treatment table. Meanwhile, Pedri is in the final stages of his recovery and is expected to be available for the next fixture against Alaves, having been injured during the last 'El Clasico'. The Canary Islander sustained a distal biceps femoris tear in his left leg.
This is undoubtedly bad news for Hansi Flick, who had recently been relying more on the Spanish midfielder, who had started seven of the Catalan club's last ten matches, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
