Barcelona tops the La Liga table after defeating Las Palmas

The Catalan team defeated relegation-threatened Las Palmas, who are still one point above the drop zone, thanks to goals from Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo. Barca is one point ahead of Atletico Madrid, who defeated Valencia 3-0 earlier on Saturday and three points ahead of Real Madrid, who play Girona on Sunday. Angel Correa's late goal and Julian Alvarez's brace gave Atletico three points, which helped them maintain their lead in the rankings.

Early on, both teams created opportunities, although Barcelona tried to take advantage of the situation on a crucial night in the title fight, but there was no breakthrough before the half. In a close contest, Flick's second-half adjustments proved to be the difference, as replacement Dani Olmo struck home Lamine Yamal's cutback just after the hour to give the visitors the lead. As Flick resorted to his bench once again, Raphinha set up Ferran Torres to slam home.
