Gianluca Di Marzio, a transfer market analyst for Sky Sport Italia, claimed on his webpage that the 31-year-old's refusal to be loaned by Chelsea might result in Bayern overtaking the Nerazzurri in the battle to sign him. Di Marzio claims that Inter contacted Chelsea today to inquire about loaning Koulibaly.
The first reaction from the Blues was unfavourable. The Senegalese ex-Napoli player could be permitted to depart London in the summer. They would, however, like to permanently sell him. Koulibaly is not permitted to depart for free by Chelsea. Bayern is one of the other teams interested in signing Koulibaly this summer, according to Di Marzio. Prior to the upcoming season, Thomas Tuchel's team wants to add defensive reinforcements. They have as one of their aims the Senegalese international. If Inter cannot persuade Chelsea to provide Koulibaly a loan, they will not be able to fund a transfer.
