Bayern Munich await Jonathan Tah’s decision after club approves move

This now means that everything is in place for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions to complete the signing of the current Bayer Leverkusen man. As Tah is set to be a free agent at the end of the season, Bayern did not need to negotiate directly with B04, but with the player instead.

With the club officials giving the green light, it is now up to Tah if he wants to join Bayern Munich this summer.

Tah was previously close to joining Hansi Flick at Barcelona, who have had the German international on their radar since January. However, Bayern now look like the favourites to sign the central defender.

The 29-year-old has been an ever-present defender in the B04 backline since joining from HSV in 2015. Since then, Tah has played an incredible 401 times across all competitions and, of course, won the league and cup double last season.
