Bologna beat rivals Atalanta 2-1

Despite the fact that a team may now qualify for the Champions League by finishing in fifth place, the victory ensured that the Rossoblu moved up to fourth in the standings and secured a seat in the competition. Atalanta had the lead 1-0, but goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Lewis Ferguson gave Bologna the three points and moved them up to fourth place. Bologna pulled off a stunning comeback. However, they have already defeated Lazio and Verona in the Serie A, making this their sixth straight victory.

Six consecutive victories placed Thiago Motta's Bologna ahead of the other contenders for a spot in the redesigned European club championship for the upcoming season. Unexpectedly, Bologna is in fourth position, four points clear of another hot team Roma, which defeated Monza 4-1 on Saturday.
