Bologna's impressive 3-1 win at rivals Roma

Bologna secured fourth place with a spectacular overhead kick from Oussama El Azzouzi and further goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Alexis Saelemaekers. With this result, Bologna is almost guaranteed a place in Europe's premier club tournament. Bologna has never participated in the current Champions League, however they did play in one round in the 1964 European Cup.

But that appears to be about to change as they now lie eight points clear of sixth-place Atalanta, and a top-five finish will be enough to get them into the redesigned competition for the next season. Bologna deservedly prevailed in the Italian capital, outlasting Roma, who were worn out following their midweek elimination of AC Milan from the Europa League. Roma struggled to get going without Romelu Lukaku and with Tammy Abraham starting up front for the first time in almost a year. Now, they are behind Atalanta by only one point.
