Carney Chukwuemeka has reportedly agreed to a January move to AC Milan

According to Italian publication Calciomercato, Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has allegedly consented to a January transfer to AC Milan. This possible departure may represent a much-needed fresh start for a player whose career has stagnated at Stamford Bridge, even though the deal is still pending Chelsea's consent.

Chukwuemeka had a promising and promising route to Chelsea. Touted as a promising prospect, the Austrian midfielder was signed for €8 million from Aston Villa in 2022. However, his growth has been limited by injuries and management changes. The 21-year-old has only played 63 minutes this season in all competitions, despite his quality. His inability to establish himself under new boss Enzo Maresca is further highlighted by his absence from the Premier League matchday teams.
