Chelsea cruised to a 5-1 win over Ajax

Chelsea cruised to a 5-1 win over Ajax at Stamford Bridge, earning another Champions League victory under Enzo Maresca. The first half was chaotic, featuring three penalties, a red card, and five goals. Ajax’s night unraveled when captain Kenneth Taylor was sent off after a VAR review for his foul on Facundo Buonanotte. Marc Guiu made the most of the advantage, heading in from Wesley Fofana’s assist, before Moises Caicedo doubled the lead with a deflected strike.

Wout Weghorst pulled one back from the spot after Raul Moro was fouled, but soon conceded a penalty himself, which Enzo Fernandez converted. In stoppage time, Youri Baas fouled Estevao, who scored Chelsea’s fourth after Fernandez handed him the ball. Tyrique George added a fifth early in the second half to cap a commanding display.
