Club Brugge staged stunning comeback to defeat RB Salzburg

Yesterday night, Club Brugge pulled off a remarkable and tough comeback to defeat RB Salzburg 3-2 (4-2 on aggregate) in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round at Jan Breydel Stadium.

After trailing 2-0 at halftime (2-1 on aggregate) following Salzburg’s early dominance with goals from Jakob Rasmussen (18’) and Edmund Baidoo (43’), Brugge fought back fully in second half of the game. Joaquin Seys (61’), Carlos Forbs (83’), and Hans Vanaken (90+4’) secured a 3-2 victory, following their 1-0 first-leg win in Austria.

Brugge advance and will face Rangers in the playoff round, while Salzburg drop to the Europa League.
