Borussia Dortmund defeated Union Berlin 2-0 to maintain their fourth-place standing, while RB Leipzig defeated Bochum 4-1 to maintain their lead of one point. On Saturday, the Bundesliga competition for Champions League spots intensified.
Dortmund and Leipzig, who are regulars in the Champions League, are fighting it out for fourth place due to the unwavering record of league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and surprise Stuttgart, who won 3-2 at Wolfsburg in Saturday's late encounter to consolidate their hold on third.
