Eljif Elmas, a target for West Ham United, has had two loan proposals from Serie A rejected by RB Leipzig because they only want a long-term deal. Regis Le Bris' team thrashed West Ham 3-0 over the weekend, making it a challenging opening day versus Sunderland. West Ham has improved in the transfer market after the loss and is making many efforts to bolster Graham Potter's team with new players. Mohammed Kudus departed this summer, and the Hammers are trying to bolster their forward line. They haven't yet brought in a replacement. Elmas of Leipzig is on their list, and West Ham recently asked whether the left winger was still available.
However, Torino and his old club, Napoli, are eager to bring him back to Italy, so they will have fierce competition for his signing. The German team received offers from Italian champions Napoli and Torino to sign him on loan with a buyout option. Leipzig, however, has turned down such bids because they wish to sell the player permanently.
