Fiorentina turned down Manchester United's first offer of £17.7 million for Sofyan Amrabat. Amrabat has become United's top target as Erik Ten Hag wants to improve his midfield after bringing in Mason Mount from Chelsea.The midfielder excelled in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and was crucial to Morocco's remarkable journey to the semi-finals. He also had a significant impact on Fiorentina's UEFA Conference League journey to the final, which they narrowly lost to West Ham United.
The Moroccan is entering the last year of his deal with the Italian team and has expressed no interest in extending despite interest from other teams, including United. Amrabat, 26, presents Ten Hag with a solid choice because he can be paired with Casemiro as a double pivot against elite opponents.
