Napoli is reportedly considering a sensational summer move for Francesco

According to Italian media, Napoli is reportedly considering a sensational summer move for Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito. According to today's Libero, via FCInter1908, Napoli started preparing a move for Esposito following Romelu Lukaku's preseason injury. Antonio Conte's team made the decision to look for a replacement for the former Inter striker, who would miss months of play.

Rasmus Hojlund, a former Atalanta star and Manchester United outcast, was ultimately chosen by the Neapolitan club. According to the reports, Conte specifically requested Pio Esposito after Lukaku’s injury. Napoli regarded the Inter striker as a complete centre-forward who perfectly fits what Conte needed. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly agreed with the idea. He was rumoured to have prepared an offer of over €40 million for the youngster.
