Frosinone were relegated from Serie A after they lost 1-0 at home to Udinese

After losing 1-0 at home to Udinese, Frosinone was demoted from Serie A. On Sunday, Empoli defeated visiting AS Roma 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time goal from M'Baye Niang. Threatened with relegation Keinan Davis' late goal sealed Udinese's victory over Frosinone, while Niang, the halfway replacement, helped Empoli stay in the top flight and brought their supporters onto the field at the conclusion.

Houssem Aouar of Roma had negated Empoli's goal by Matteo Cancellieri, which had given the home team the lead in the thirteenth minute. Angry Frosinone, who ended one point below Empoli, was relegated to the bottom half together with Salernitana, who were eliminated from the league last month after suffering a 3-0 loss at home, and Sassuolo, whose fate was sealed last weekend following a 2-0 loss to Cagliari.
