Inter Milan, the Serie A winners, beat Frosinone 5-0, making the poor home team nervous about their potential relegation to Serie B. Six teams are aiming to stay out of the second division and stay with Salernitana with two weeks left in the season.
Two points above the relegation zone, Frosinone is ranked 16th out of 20 teams in the standings. Teams above and below them have three games remaining, while they have two. Inter Milan’s 5-0 trashing also put a stop to Frosinone's six-game winning streak. Marko Arnautovic doubled Inter's lead after an hour from Davide Frattesi's first-half goal. Tajon Buchanan, a Canadian midfielder, then scored the third goal, it was also his first for the team. Marcus Thuram's lovely goal later finish off the thrashing after Lautaro Martinez's goal, his 24th of the league season.
