Forest defeated Southampton on Sunday in a five-goal thriller after finishes from Elliot Anderson, Chris Wood, and Hudson-Odoi himself. The victory kept Nuno Espirito Santo’s men in the title race as they caught up with Arsenal in terms of points.
The game didn’t completely go to plan though as Hudson-Odoi ended up having to be replaced in the first half due to an injury as he gestured toward his groin when making his way down the tunnel.
It is unknown at this stage how serious the situation is for the 24-year-old winger, but he has proven to be a crucial part of Santo’s team this season having only missed two Premier League fixtures. He said, “Happy for the win and hopefully nothing serious. See you soon.”
The club currently boasts a six-point advantage over the teams nearest to them as they look to secure Champions League football.
