Inter is keen to acquire Lille defender Tiago Djalo

Djalo has been sidelined for nearly seven months, with his last appearance for Lille dating back to February due to a long-term knee injury. Despite his extended absence, the former Milan player remains a highly sought-after prospect in the transfer market. Inter, in fact, is considering a possible return to the San Siro for him as early as January.

The departure of Milan Skriniar in the summer prompted Inter to revive their interest in Djalo. However, his persistent fitness issues led Beppe Marotta to explore other options. Benjamin Pavard emerged as an attractive opportunity to address defensive shortcomings, and Simone Inzaghi's team wasted no time in securing his services. While Pavard's arrival has filled the defensive void, it doesn't rule out the potential return of Djalo to Serie A. Given that the Lille defender's contract expires next summer, Inter is keen to acquire him on a free transfer.
