Sam Beukema, a defender for Bologna, is apparently being watched by Inter Milan, who may be looking to replace Francesco Acerbi. The latter's inability to be available in the later stages of the campaign was caused by a recurrent groin problem. The 36-year-old will miss Italy's Euro 2024 campaign as a result of surgery to fix the problem that will occur next week.
Il Giorno of FcInterNews reports that Acerbi's health may force the team to recruit a new defender this summer. According to the insider, Beukema has become a viable contender for the position. The 25-year-old completed a deal from AZ Alkmaar to Bologna last summer. He quickly established himself as Thiago Motta's tactical setup's cornerstone at the back. Thus, the Dutchman was instrumental in the historic Rossoblu campaign that resulted in a Champions League qualification.
