According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan is actively pursuing Portuguese defender Djalo, and they appear to be leading the race for his signature. However, they face competition from other European heavyweights such as Atletico Madrid and Juventus, both of whom are also keen on securing the player.
Inter's interest in Djalo dates back to the previous January transfer window when they were eyeing him as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar. Despite Djalo's ACL injury, Inter remains keen on acquiring the talented defender, and Djalo, in turn, is reportedly eager to make the move, possibly as early as January. Lille, Djalo's current club, seems open to a transfer, setting a rumored fee of around €5 million for the January move. This relatively modest fee could be influenced by Djalo's contract expiring in the summer of 2024. Lille is aware of the player's desire to leave and is actively seeking potential buyers.
