Inter Milan rejected a €20 million deal from a Premier League team for midfielder Kristjan Asllani, FCInterNews, an Italian publication, claims. According to them, the Nerazzurri still have complete trust in the 22-year-old Albanian international. This season, Asllani has not been a consistent member of Inter's starting lineup.
The Albanian international, like his previous two seasons with the Nerazzurri, has only been used as a backup. In the summer of 2022, Asllani left Empoli to join Inter as Marcelo Brozovic's backup. But Inter's first-choice holding midfielder turned out to be Hakan Calhanoglu. Asllani has so served as Calhanoglu's primary backup on the team. It has been difficult for Asllani to remove the Turkish international from the starting lineup given Calhanoglu's significance to the squad.
