Inter weighing up futures of Sommer and Di Gennaro

The futures of goalkeepers Yann Sommer and Raffaele Di Gennaro are allegedly being considered by Inter Milan. Gazzetta dello Sport reports via FCInter1908 that the Italian powerhouses are forced to make decisions about two of their three first-team keepers. Yann Sommer's contract at San Siro is about to expire. The Swiss veteran has fallen in the hierarchy despite being dependable since moving from Bayern Munich in 2023.

Josep Martinez has, in fact, surpassed the 36-year-old in the hierarchy.  In December, Sommer will turn 37 years old. As a result, Inter is hesitant to extend his contract. Additionally, Di Gennaro appears more likely to remain at San Siro than the former Borussia Monchengladbach player. The 31-year-old has a greater chance of signing a new contract even if he is only Cristian Chivu's third choice in goal. There is a completely reasonable answer, despite the fact that it may seem a little contradictory.
