Joan García is expected to miss the club’s upcoming clash with Real Madrid

Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García is expected to miss the club’s upcoming clash with Real Madrid, according to Mundo Deportivo. The 24-year-old remains sidelined after undergoing surgery last month to repair a tear in the internal meniscus of his left knee. His recovery is taking longer than initially hoped, ruling him out of action for at least another week. Joan’s absence has been a major blow for Barcelona, who have lost two of their last three matches across all competitions since his injury.

The young keeper had begun establishing himself as a key figure in the first team before being forced to the sidelines. With El Clásico fast approaching, fans and staff alike will be disappointed by the setback, as the reigning La Liga champions face their biggest domestic challenge without one of their most promising players.
