Jonathan David of Lille scored three goals to become the top scorer in the French league, but Lyon's substitute Alexandre Lacazette scored two goals in injury time to force a 3-3 draw in a thrilling match. David now has 19 league goals, one more than Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.
In the 46th minute, David scored to give the home team the lead. After Rayan Cherki's shady foul on Gabriel Gudmundsson in the 61st minute, the Canada striker then extended the lead with a penalty. Bradley Barcola's goal in the 64th minute helped Lyon recover after Benjamin Andre made a weak clearance. And soon, Lille had a two-goal advantage again thanks to David, who sent Lyon goalkeeper Remy Riou the wrong way with another penalty attempt. But, in the 83rd minute, Lacazette, made amends by heading Sael Kumbedi's cross into the bottom corner to make it 3-2 and later scored once again to level up in the 89th minute.
