Jorginho scored for Chelsea to start off new season on a good note

Jorginho saves the game for Chelsea! A first-half penalty was all Blues needed to record a 1-0 victory over Everton in their first Premier League game this season. The triumph became even more cheerful as it was also the London club's first win at Goodison Park in five times.

A lot was expected from Thomas Tuchel's team but on the ground, we did not see a strong performance from the team as opposed to Everton who had two players on the injured list and did not have a recognized striker in their mix. At Goodison Park, things became serious as Ben Godfrey received a series blows to his lower leg and was carried off on a stretcher while Yerry Mina also left the side in the second half. Frank Lampard’s side still looked phenomenal and came close to an equalizer as well but lacked skills on the attacking front.
